12.03.1978 – 01.09.2026
Al was one in a million, the kind of person you didn’t forget, and we’re heartbroken to share that he’s passed away after a battle with cancer.
He loved music, footy, a good laugh, and never did anything by halves. He was cheeky, generous, and always up for an adventure, the kind of person who’d give you the shirt off his back and still find a way to make you laugh while he did it. He loved deeply and loyally, whether it was his friends from decades back, his sporting mates on the sidelines, or his three boys he never stopped showing up for.
Alistair is remembered above all as a devoted partner to Miriam and a determined, loving father to Austin, Elijah, and Caleb, for whom he strove to build a home, a community, and a life full of sport, music, and love. Even as his illness progressed, he faced it with the same humour and fight that defined him, right to the very end. He will be dearly missed by his family, especially his loving Mum, Liz, Dad Wayne and stepmum Penny, siblings, Mands, Matt and Rach, stepsister Elaina, his many close friends, and everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Wyndham FC would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Al’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Al was an amazing person who was devoted to supporting his family wherever possible, whether it was at sporting events or family occasions. He was always there to support Eli and his team and never stopped attending until his condition made it impossible for him to visit the club and enjoy watching Eli play.
Al will be sorely missed by everyone at Wyndham FC and will always be remembered for his dedication, support and devotion to Eli and his team.
He was truly an amazing individual, and our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
Al was Team Manager for my son’s Junior footy and cricket teams and I used to say he was the best manager in town and not without a reason. Extremely generous with his time and praise he really encouraged the kids to be their best versions. We shared many a conversations on the way to footy games ranging from footy to cricket to his time in the UK and many more. I feel I was fortunate to have known him. He was a fantastic bloke and will be genuinely missed. Our condolences to Austin and entire Judd family.
Alistair was a great man, a true friend and a great colleague.
I feel very fortunate to have known him and to have shared so many good times together over the years.
I had enormous respect and affection for him, and I’ll always remember his candor, dry humour and the way he treated people.
We also shared a very similar sense of humour, including our appreciation of the very silly Mike Myers movie, So I Married an Axe Murderer.
It’s the sort of thing that will always make me think of him and bring a smile.
I’m grateful I had the opportunity to see him recently and to tell him how much he, and our friendship, meant to me.
Rest peacefully mate. You’ll never be forgotten.
Miriam, Liz, Rachel & the rest of the family, sending my deepest condolences at this very sad time. I hope to be able to help you celebrate Al’s life in a really personal way. Kate Morgan, Celebrant
