Duncan Ironmonger

12.10.31 – 03.09.24

Esteemed economist and one of the pioneers in the field of household economics at the University of Melbourne since 1966, husband of Heather for 67 years, brother to Elizabeth, father of Stuart, Nicholas and Peter, grandfather of Lauren.

Duncan will be fondly remembered for his kindness and generosity, his energy and optimism, his love for storytelling and his passion for ideas and friendship.

Family members, friends and loved ones were invited to a memorial celebration of Duncan’s life on what would have been his 93rd birthday.
