Julian Mantle

29.03.1987 – 15.06.2026

Julian – the man with socks and Birkenstocks.

A beloved son, brother, husband, father, nephew, and friend, Julian was truly larger than life. It is impossible to sum up a person who brought so much energy, laughter and warmth into the world. Anyone fortunate enough to know him will remember his unmistakable charisma, cheeky sense of humour and remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Julian never met a stranger. He had a gift for making people feel seen, valued and welcome. He wasn’t content with simply becoming your friend. He was friends with your siblings, your parents, your cousins and even your neighbours. His circle spanned generations, with mates ranging from their twenties to their nineties.

Tall, blue-eyed, bald and handsome, Julian was always ready with a bit of banter. He was fiercely loyal, kind-hearted, empathetic and incredibly brave. Above all, he was a devoted father. “Fun” and “perseverance through patience” was a philosophy he embodied, and also received the Principal’s award for best parent helper ever!

Golf was one of Julian’s great passions and the Northern Golf Club was his second home. He played whenever he could, and sometimes when he shouldn’t. He even told us he was “pretty good”.

While our hearts are broken and we prepare for the impossible task of saying goodbye to our dear Julian, we invite you to use this space to share your memories, stories, well wishes, thoughts and prayers. Every message is a reminder of the extraordinary impact Julian had.

Thank you for helping us celebrate a life that meant so much to so many.

  • Joanna Woodhouse and the Kupfer family says:

To our lovely, funny and brilliant friend Julian,
I have been so lucky to have had you as a friend over these past few years, to share stories of our boys and their wonderful moments of chaos, and to be able to call you and laugh about it all and then laugh again and again,100 times over.
My goodness Jules, we will miss you so much!
Sending love from our family to yours,
Joanna, Tom, Reuben (who will always remember you as the first person to give him chocolate) and Simeon.

  • Paul Grabovac and Family says:

    Julz / Jule
I haven’t been able to find the words…
You will be missed so much !
There are so many memories that we will cherish forever.
A friend who would always be there no matter the circumstances, always find a way and time.
That smile, you would light up anywhere from the minute you would arrive.
    Your laugh, so contagious
We could always pick up where we left off from the last time we spoke, like it was yesterday.
Thank you for being such a great friend and part of our families lives.
Love you Julz, till we meet again.

  • Adrian S says:

Honestly the best human being ill ever know, its such a hard loss. even when i was going through things and when you were sick you would still ask how i was doing, and not even other friends would, that just show you something. the world wont be the same without, you are so talented and have everything a person could always want. we had so much in common from music to golf. and from you starting golf at such a late age becoming single figure golfer is amazing, i started as a teen and you become better than me. rest in peace brother you will be missed so much, always thinking about you.

  • Alan Blue says:

Well I remember when I first met Julian at a bar in Sydney when I first joined Elekta and he was definitely a character I could connect with! He was welcoming and always open to chat as a fellow FSE. We then further worked together remotely and at time at the ONJ where he was always happy to help and share his experiences. From the very start I knew he was going to be a valuable colleague, but didn’t know he would become a friend. We later went our separate ways and then came back together in the very same team where we worked together on a few projects in the same way we worked back in the day! We would always chew the fat and work on what we could do to improve others lives and work, but never mentioned how we could help ourselves. He was always there for others and will be truely missed.

The world is missing a true champion and it won’t be the same again. We value all that you showed us mate and we will never forget you, NEVER! Rest in peace mate and keep swinging.

  • Sandra Massa says:

What a life you lived Jules. Not one made up of just moments of kindness. Not a life of sometimes, or depending on circumstances, but a life of always
    Always warm
    Always helpful
    Always generous
    Always caring
And always without the expectation that any of it would be returned.

    Just geniune love. No conditions.

I cannot ever thank you enough for what you gave me in the time we had together.

I will miss you dearly but I know heaven rejoices in your arrival.

  • Marcellin class mate says:

You taught us how to treat others with compassion and genuine kindness.

Although I’ve not seen you for years Julian, I’m sure, in your final moments, your greatest gift was showing us how to pass with dignity and integrity.

    Rest in peace

  • Gemma says:

    Rest well Jules!
I only knew you for a short time but felt like a long time! Thanks for being my PMP partner in crime last year! From day 1, the kids loved having you teach them new skills and you beamed off being the ‘fun’ dad! Jin was always so proud to have you there! We’ll all miss that big shiny head and big bright smile. Always up for a chat and knew everyone by name! You’ll never be forgotten x
Thinking about you Shinano, Jin, Rei, Carmel and the wider family at this difficult time.
Love Gemma, Hollie & Lucy xx

  • Selena M says:

  • Anne says:

Sharing in your deep sadness at the loss of a truly wonderful man. Jules brought so much warmth, generosity, and positive energy to everyone around him.I will never forget meeting him on Jin’s first day of school at the ‘Tea and Tissues’ morning. Even then, it was clear that Jules was intentionally building a strong, positive, and deeply committed connection to the PVPS community. He made genuine connections look effortless because his heart was so big. Our school will not be the same without his bright presence.
Deepest sympathies to Shinano, Jin, Rei, and family.

  • Jason Arts says:

    Jules. Thank you.
I can’t recall a single interaction I had with you where you didn’t make me smile. The world was a better place with you in it, and all of us lucky enough to have crossed paths with you will do our best to honour your legacy of kindness, positivity and empathy. Miss you mate.

He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Jullian.

  • Heather/Ted, Jenni/Dawson, Lisa/Matt and families says:

Julian, Alexandra, Carmel and Jim were part of our family here in Canada. Our families are great friends and brought us up like cousins. We spent our time together building forts in the riverbank in Bragg Creek, sledding on snowy days, climbing the spider web at the zoo and holiday meals together.
We waved them a tearful goodbye at the airport the day they moved to Australia but we still always kept in touch. We were lucky enough to spend more time together when Julian came back to Canada – home to the mountains he would say.
I have read every message that you all have written and we all agree- what a kind, happy and fun man he was.
Cheers to you Julian- you have left a legacy of meaningful friendships, memories of fun and laughter and a proud family that misses you dearly.
Our sincere condolences to your family.
    Love The Wamsley/Foreman/Sartoris family

  • Leah says:

You were always so sweet to me and treated me like family during my time in Australia. Thank you for everything you and Shinano did to help me out (giving up an entire room in your house for me!) I wasn’t in touch as often as I would have liked…you always think there’s more time. Thank you for the laughs and good times we had.

  • Eli says:

Dearest Jules. I like to think of you reading all these messages and can almost hear you chuckling “come on guys..!”

It’s all been said and it’s all true. You really were one of a kind. One of those people who made the world brighter, safer and a hell of a lot more interesting.

I will miss your eyes, your spark and your unrelenting interest in those around you. Your calm wisdom and your absolute dedication to your family.

You leave a huge mark Jules. We love you. We will never forget you.

  • Bruno says:

My first encounter with Jules was on the golf course with friends Peter Champion Roger Blyth and Jimy Marland and the three of us took an instant liking to him, he had only just become a member of the club and we didn’t take long to call him Anzac because there was a minute silence while having, he’s shot. Not long after that at a club function which my wife also attended, we got to know what a fun and special person Jules was at the end of the night we gave him a lift home, and my wife commented to what a nice young man Jules was from that night Jules had never forgotten her name and would always ask how my wife was doing and to give her his regards. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to play as often as I would have liked considering his game and time over the ball improved considerably but we often would pass and have a shot of whisky or have a chat in the club house. We will all miss him a truly likable young man.

  • Ryoko says:

I am at a loss for words.
Julian, you were always smiling, warm, and so easy to talk to. Every time you came to pick up Jin from my family day care, you would sit down, make yourself comfortable, and say, “Come on, let’s have a chat.” You truly valued connecting with people, and that is how I will always remember you.
It breaks my heart to think that you had to leave your family behind. May you rest in peace.

  • Anthony & Arna Poci says:

The world has lost a gentlemen but one that wont ever be forgotton. Jules we met at St. martins, played footy together at Banyule and then were classmates at Marcellin. Throughout that journey your warm and infectious personality left am impression on everyone – my parents who hadnt seen you in several years still to this day remark how “nice of a boy Julian was”. Everytime we saw each other, regardless of the setting, it was always a good time. Both Arna and I are deeply saddened at your loss and pass on our deepesr condolences to everyone. The saying “only the good die young” has never rang truer. RIP our friend.
    The Poci Family.

  • Darren Murphy says:

    Jules,

Always looked forward to seeing you in uni class mate: always a smile, a handshake with a click of the thumbs, a good chat and always a laugh cracking jokes about the characters in the room.

Such a genuine, positive, welcoming person. There’s plenty for us to learn from your example.

So glad to see you again at the reunion last year. We’ll all miss you but will always remember you for the next ones.

Thoughts are with your family and friends at this difficult time.

    Love,
    Dazza

  • Yvonne “little Lettoof” as you called me says:

    Jules,
    You embodied this quote:
“people don’t remember what you said, they remember how you made them feel”

I am truely devistated you have passed, but I feel privileged to have known you. What better mate could anyone ask for their brother? It’s been a while since I’ve seen you last but your infectious energy, your light heartedness and goofy nature will always be remembered. It’s hard not to think of you without a smile.

I mean who else seriously injures their ankle (think it was a ligament tear?) and is in so much pain they succumb to a fit of laughter? Only you!

    RIP Jules xxx

  • Mayu says:

Julian,Thank you for always welcoming me with a warm smile and a hug.

I will always remember your kindness.

    Rest in peace.

From afar in Japan, my thoughts are with Shinano, Jin, Rei, and your family always.

  • Angelica says:

Julzy, we love and miss you so much. We are heartbroken. The best laugh, the best hugs, the best friend with the biggest heart. You’ll be with us forever. Shinano, Carmel and Alexandra – sending you so much love. x

  • Ben Ryan says:

Julesy, I feel so privileged to have been able to call you a mate. The memories I have with you strolling down the fairways, having many beers on the deck at northern and having a ball on golf trips, will stay with me forever. The energy, kindness and happiness you brought will never be forgotten. Love and miss you lots mate xxx

  • Sam Brizzi says:

I’m grateful we got to play a round together recently. The cheeky wit was endearing from the start. You were still smiling and laughing even then. A true Canadian-Aussie larrikin. Rest In Peace Julian. Condolences and love to your entire family.

  • Elias Massa & Family says:

Our hearts are broken. You were the kindest adopted brother and uncle into our family. You were so selfless and would give anyone, old or young all the time in the world even though you had so little time yourself.

You were always the first person to put your hand up to help with anything – even if it meant driving from Templestowe, to Oakleigh to Craigieburn in 43° heat after a wedding cake kerfuffle on our wedding day to help us out and make our day extra special.

You were such a wonderful role model to our children, and Selena and Samuel were so blessed for you to be a part of their family. Your conversations with them opened their eyes in ways we as parents couldn’t. You were at every milestone and every event, and your absence moving forward is going to be felt by us all.

We will meet again, and we will miss you dearly until that time comes.

Elias, “Aunty Nat”, Selena and Samuel Massa

  • 土屋幸枝 says:

    Dear Julian,
    This is Sachie, Kyoka’s mother.
Thank you so much for playing with my daughter and creating such wonderful memories when you visited Tokyo. Although I didn’t have many chances to see you in person, hearing all the fun stories from Kyoka always made me feel what a kind and wonderful husband you were to Shinano.
It brings me great sadness that you have left us. You will be deeply missed. Thank you, Julian. May you rest in peace.

  • 土屋京花 says:

    Dear Julian,
I am so sad that I couldn’t see you one last time. I miss you so much. I wanted to play with you more. I will never forget the times we played together.

  • The Scopelianos Family says:

    Dear Jules,

From the moment we met at Holy Name Primary School—when you were the new kid from Canada—our friendship began to take shape. We bonded over our shared love of basketball, from backyard games of HORSE to early Saturday mornings with the Kingsbury Comets at Diamond Valley. Those early days brought our families together and created a connection that has lasted a lifetime.

December 23 will never feel the same, but we hold close nearly three decades of Christmas Eve Eve traditions—carols by candlelight, family dinners, and the laughter that only lifelong friends share. We will miss your smile, your quick wit, and your unmistakable sense of humour.

You will always be in our hearts. Rest easy.

  • Ross Gordon Mantle says:

Julian, although it had been many years since we last saw you, we are deeply saddened by your passing. We will always remember your early years in Canada, very special memories of you, your sister Alexandra, and your mom and dad prior to your relocation.

God bless you, our most sincere condolences to your young family, our thoughts and prayers are with them as well as with all of your family and friends for whom you had an immense impact.

  • Michael Saleh says:

Jules was a great mate to all at university. He was genuine in his dealings with a wonderfully affable personality. It was fantastic to see you at our reunion last year and we will always remember your one liners and happy demeanour. Everything was “top shelf” when we chatted, RIP.

  • Justin Debrincat says:

Hearing this awful and heartbreaking news hits really hard, but it has also brought back so many wonderful memories of our university days mate. You were truly the kindest person I knew back then, always ready with a full heart and a comforting presence. There’s so much talk in these reflections about that smile, too… how could anyone ever deny it!? Whenever I showed you demos of our band, you were instantly excited for me; you were always positive and encouraging. The world has lost a truly beautiful person, and I’m thinking of your family and all who love you during this difficult time. Big love

  • Asami says:

    Dear Julian,

Over the past week, it has been incredibly difficult to accept that we will no longer be able to exchange greetings with you. Since Jin started at PVPS, I saw you almost every day. Whenever our eyes met, you would greet me with a smile and ask, “How are you?” in Japanese. Those small moments always brought joy and brightness to our busy mornings and afternoons.I also loved seeing how actively involved you were in Jin’s class and how naturally and happily you connected with so many parents in our community.
At Jin’s birthday party in May , I was so happy to see you dancing naturally to the music and making everyone feel welcome and included. Every morning, as we pass by the community center where the party was held, my children and I still talk about Jin’s birthday and the happy memories from that day with you.

Your presence will continue to live vividly in our hearts and memories. Thank you for the countless smiles you gave us, even during times that must have been very difficult for you. We will do our best, together as a community, to support Jin, Rei, and Shinano in the days ahead.

    Thank you, Julian, for everything.
    May you rest peacefully.
    Asami,Ovadia and Anna

  • Alessandro Frijo says:

Mate, from the good old days shooting hoops at Macleod with Buddy Love, to sharing time in Canada, one thing we all wish we had one more day of is your smile, genuine kindness and love for life, friends and family.

When I landed in Canada in 2011, Bud let me know that you were here. I dropped you a note and we realized that we were a mere 5 blocks away from each other – it was meant to be. Your journey was always never short of adventure. From guiding planes on a runway in -30 degrees in Calgary, to working for barely minimum wage at a liquor store in Vancouver. You always made the most of what life had in store.

One of the times we caught up, you showed up with a black eye – you told me that you chased down a guy that had stolen a bottle of wine and had to make it right and make sure that bottle was returned, albeit with a black eye. All for the sake of minimum wage and doing your job! I feel sorry for the other bloke.

I still tell people how when you met my now wife for the first time, the first thing you said was that you’ve never met someone with softer cheeks in your life! You truly do see the beauty in everyone. Another time, you took me to a house party and the moment you walked in, I knew I was going to be on my own for the rest of the evening – people came flocking to you – you were always humbly the main attraction and rightfully so. I explored Vancouver in the early days via bike with you – times I’ll never ever forget! We were partially broke and jobless buggers but we constantly willed each other forward! And had a bloody great time doing it.

I know it’s been some time since we last chatted but I’ve always been tuned in via Bud and felt like I’ve known your every step for the last decade and more.

Thank you for being YOU.. and only ever just you, always. The hole left is immeasurable but you are loved dearly and the love you gave will forever be carried forward by those around you.

I would’ve loved some pesto tortellini with you in December this year, but I’ll have to share some with Bud in your honour mate.

With love from Canada always – it’s an honour to call you mate and a brother.

    Rest easy.

    Alla and Mikela

  • Stephanie Millar says:

    Jules,

How could I ever forget those early prep days when we all began together?

One day, I was walking out of the building when, all of a sudden, your face was about 10 cm from mine, saying, “How are you?” very slowly and clearly. I got quite a fright at first, but then I realised you were making sure I understood you. That simple moment showed me the enormous respect and acceptance you had, recognising that I was hard of hearing.

Since that day, there were always hugs, conversations, and your big, warm greetings.

I loved seeing you walk by so confidently and well dressed, with your Converse tied up, carrying yourself like a proud dad.

You had a heart bigger than words can describe. You showed immense respect to every single person — parents, friends, children, everyone.

Not a day goes by without me remembering how friendly and genuine you were when greeting my youngest child, George. It always made me feel so warm.

School drop-offs won’t feel the same without you, but our memories of you will always bring us warmth.

    You will be remembered forever.

With love from all of us,

Steph, Ben, Polly, Quinn and George

  • Brent Pitt says:

Julian, the late night calls where a serious conversation would turn into a session of tears and laughter . I miss you so much already. I loved our weekly chats and how you would make me laugh instead of cry. You were one of my best friends and I will never forget you and thank you for your friendship. Love you so much, mate. Xoxox

  • Victorian School of Japanese - Toshie Shimazoe (principal) says:

It is with great sadness that Victorian School of Japanese community acknowledges the passing of the father of our student, Jin.
Throughout his son’s journey of learning Japanese and connecting with his heritage, Julian was a constant source of encouragement and support. Many of us remember seeing Julian at our school, bringing and picking up Jin. His friendly talks to other parents and staff and dedication to his family will be fondly remembered by our school community.
On behalf of all staff, students, and families of Victorian School of Japanese, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Jin, Shinano and the family during this difficult time.
Our thoughts are with them as they navigate this profound loss. We hope they find strength, comfort, and support from family, friends, and the wider community.

  • Ron Larson says:

Our Calgary family was in lockstep with Carmel, Jim, Jules and Alex in the ‘early days’. Cath and Carmel job shared. Our four kids and Carmel’s two were together all the time. Julian is a legend in two countries with his inner bigness, his essential goofiness, and his big, big heart. We’re heartbroken all the way across the world. I keep remembering sitting with Julian at Carmel’s kitchen table about 90 minutes before his wedding: there’s a couple of tinnies on the table, he’s in his underwear, tie and trousers over the back of a chair, and he’s writing his vows or his thank you everyone speech ( I can’t remember which), and he’s very surprised when I expressed concern at the time and the task. Completely untroubled, completely relaxed, completely Julian. One of our core family stories is Jules making Gordon Ramsay’s lasagna in our kitchen. After hours of work a single pan of lasagna sits on the table and in the kitchen itself there is absolute mayhem and mess, like Jules randomly detonated the entire Italian section of the market in our kitchen. And from Jules just a big smile and ‘taste it, taste it, it’s the best’. One of a kind. Missed beyond measure.

  • Jason Manakis says:

I don’t have the words to adequately describe the immense loss that I feel.

Jules’ tragic passing has reminded me that life is fragile. It is fleeting, precious, and short.

It has reminded me not to postpone my happiness, not to take the people I love for granted, and not to leave important words unsaid.

It has reminded me to love, and to love deeply.

Thank you, Jules, for your kindness, your gentleness, and your friendship.

I will cherish your memory forever.

  • Alma Lettoof says:

Your passing has left us all in deep sorrow, but, having the opportunity and pleasure to have known you, has left an everlasting imprint in all our hearts. Ever the gentleman, and the most beautiful smile that greeted us all no matter what was going on, you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. To family and loved ones left behind, I pray you are sustained in this difficult time.
R.I.P. Jules, till we meet again. 🙏❤️

  • Veronica says:

Julian, what a pleasure it was to meet you and share such great moments and chats together. It was so special to watch you step into the role of being the best advocate for Jin. Working together to navigate new chapters in life was made easy with such a lovely, warm and positive man like you.
I’ll never forget the first time I met Jin and immediately saw so much of you in him. Without a doubt, I’ll continue to see you in him.

Our hearts and thoughts are with Shinano, Jin, Rei and the family at this time.
    Rest easy, Julian.
From Veronica, and the team at Make the Connection. 🤍

  • Gladys says:

I only got the chance to work with you a few time, but what I remember was your smile & politeness. Sending my deepest sympathies to Shinano, Jin, Re, Carmel ,Alex & the rest of the family.

  • Chris says:

First of all, I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend Julian. He was an absolute ripping bloke.

Our friendship began one day when I was watering my garden. We were neighbours and I happened to be wearing my Tottenham Hotspur top. Julian looked over and said, “You don’t go for those guys, do you?” I laughed and replied, “Surely you’re not an Arsenal fan?” He grinned and said, “You bet ya!”

Over the following months, we watched a number of games together. Julian was the kind of person who genuinely loved engaging with people. He was incredibly sincere, authentic, brilliant sense of humour and always great company.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Shinano and the entire family. While I am deeply saddened by his passing, I also know we will celebrate a life well lived.

  • Matt says:

He was always kind, accepting, with a huge smile and ready to make you laugh. A childhood friend, who moved away when we were young, but was never forgotten. The world lost a good one.

  • Lucy says:

Julian, it was always a pleasure to see you and to hear about your family and adventures. You will be greatly missed.
My thoughts are with your family and friends.
    Rest in peace.

  • Andrew Collar says:

Jules, It was a privilege to know you and to work alongside you. You brought so much energy, positivity, and enthusiasm to every day, and you had a way of making even the busiest times feel lighter. You were always ready with a smile, a joke, or a laugh, and that sense of humour will be remembered by everyone who knew you. Rest in peace mate.

  • Rachael Bissell says:

You were a joy to be around at Elekta. Never without a smile you always brightened up my day and everyone else around you.
Your will leave a big gap on the planet. Rachxxx

Juls may have been my husband’s cousin, but to me he felt like my own. He was welcoming, kind, caring, and always made everyone feel like family.

His legacy of kindness, humour, and love of life will live on in all who knew him. Thank you for being such a wonderful cousin and friend to Jarrod.

My life is richer and more abundant for having known you. We will forever love and miss you, Juls x

  • Bud Lettoof says:

We were the grade 5 new kids at St Martins Primary in 1997, both with a passion of sport and competition. We played basketball, golf, poker, we even used to catch up to throw a frisbee, and considered joining a frisbee comp because of how ‘therapeutic’ it was watching that disc fly.

You had a rare mix of being competitive, but so friendly at the same time. Playing golf once, you got upset at a group of 2 hitting up on us. You were already peaking because your game was off, so you had enough. After screaming “FORE” back at them, you decided to walk back and confront them. After walking over fuming, they followed you back to the next tee. You introduced them to me and we were a group of 4 for the rest of the round.

Looking back you made doing the simpler things in life some of the greatest moments in life. I miss those days of Friday night shooting hoops at the lower plenty scout hall or Macloed YMCA, St martins soccer, hitting up the casino, this list is a mile long. We used to butt heads competing, and then you would go home to unwind by ‘grabbing a 6 pack and playing some cello’. You had me in stitches, only you Julesy!

What an honour to have had you as a great friend for so many years. You are truly one of the greats. I’ll miss discussing all things big or small, and ill forever treasure the countless memories made starting way back in 1997. As you’d tell me when you said goodbye “Love ya brothaaa”. Love you too my brothaa. Until next time.

Mentoring you as you started your journey at Elekta was infurtrating! You drove me crazy with all your questions – in a good way. But always balanced with generous laughter, and a pleasure to spend time with you. I saw so much of myself in you, making this loss all the more devastating. You’ve left me with a sharp clarity of the life we have, sadly, now without you. Julian: I honour the place within you where the entire Universe resides; I honour the place within you of love, of light, of truth, of peace; I honour the place within you, where, when you are in that place, and I am in that place, there is only one of us.

  • Rohan Jamieson says:

I just heard the sad news through a friend and wanted to send my heartfelt condolences to Julian’s wife, children, and family. I have such great memories of him from Marcellin—he was truly one of the most positive, intelligent, friendly, and good-natured guys I have ever met. Reading through the messages on here, it’s clear he never lost that side of himself, and it’s incredible to see the positive impact he had on so many. Rest in peace mate.

  • Jodie Kennon says:

What a gift it was the day you and Jin walked through the doors of Prep K in January 2025.

It didn’t take long before you knew all of Jin’s classmates by name, and their disappointment began to show if they weren’t in your “parent group”. You would help whenever you could – from reading groups to PMP. You truly were the best parent helper ever… despite the fact that sometimes I needed to “ssshhh” you more than the kids you were working with.

It now feels like fate that Sam and I were taken out of the grade and into our new school roles, where we got to watch you become Jin’s advocate and champion, with the added bonus of getting to spend even more time with you!

I will miss our morning chats on yard duty, and the many times I had to gently kick you out while locking the gates because you had just one more story, tale, question or joke to share.

My heart is with Shinano, Jin, Rei, Carmel and the entire family. The love and pride you had for them was obvious to everyone who knew you.

You will be forever remembered at PVPS. I expect to feel your presence through Jin (and Rei) as we continue to care for their education and watch them grow.

Thank you Jules – It was such a joy to know you…albeit for far too short a time.
    Rest now – painfree 🫶

  • Jason McSpeerin says:

I only played golf with Julian a few times, but I was struck by how and friendly and open he was and always went out of his way to say hello and ask how I was doing. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed by all.

  • Joyce A says:

Julian, it was always lovely to see your beautiful personality & smile whenever we cross paths at Northern with quick catch up chats on how our families were doing, work, life & of course, golf. We will all miss your presence. Deepest condolences to your beloved families. Young man, Rest In Eternal Peace.

  • Cath J says:

Julian, what a pleasure it was to have worked with you. You were always ready to solve a problem and share some stories with a smile, chat and few laughs with the RTs.
Thinking of Carmel and family with much love x

  • Hendra says:

    Rest in Peace Julian.

We will always remember your visit to the US in November 2010, when you, AN, and our beloved Andrew (AG) went to NYC. Despite AG’s advice not to talk to street sellers, your kind and friendly nature led you into a funny encounter that has reminded a cherished memory for us.

We believe that you and AG are now together again in heaven.

Good bye Julian, we will miss you.

    Hendra n Ida.

  • Ewa says:

I never saw Jules without that big goofy smile on his face, and some wise crack to lighten up the room. I was once on a job and everything was going wrong. Late nights, lots of frustrated tears from me. There was nothing Jules could do to help, but he simply hung around to keep me company, keep me laughing, breathing, fed and watered. He was just there.
Reading through all of the messages people have written, that is what comes across so clearly. That Jules was a loyal friend, family member and colleague. He had everyone’s back. I wonder how he managed to do it so effortlessly. Giving so much of himself without expecting things in return.
Rest easy Jules. I hope there are bottomless beers where you are, with a side of all the dark chocolates you can handle.
Sending all the love to Carmel, Shinano, Jin & Re.

  • Justin says:

    Jules,
Thank you for always jumping on calls with me any time during the day or night and for the support and advice you gave so freely—including trying, unsuccessfully, fix my golf swing. Not even you could help me with my slice! I still remember the first time we met in Sydney. From that moment, I will always remember your smile, no matter what was happening, and how before every call your first question was, “Where in the world are you today?” Thank you for your friendship, kindness, and the countless conversations we shared. You will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

  • Joel Crimmins says:

You were so good at everything, yet so humble. From games of horse in the backyard, metal gear solid on play station and winning pool without me pocketing a ball.

However a certain school bus driver had your measure some days when you had to carry your cello, he loved a sharp corner. You and that instrument took out that many kids, geez it made us laugh.

Endless school memories from St. Martin’s & Marcellin. I’m so fortunate to have grown up with you.

A gentleman through & through. Enjoy those beers with your Dad. Love you mate.

    Crimmo

  • Benny says:

Julesy you are one of the nicest people I have ever met. Every Saturday when I rock up to golf I always look to the 18th fairway to watch your group finish their round, watch you putt out, and have a chat before I tee off. Devastated to hear this news while I’m away.
    I’ll miss you mate x

  • Neil R says:

    Jules mate,

It was an absolute honour and privilege to call you a friend. We may have met as work colleagues, but even when business took us in different directions, that friendship remained.

You’ll always have the pool bragging rights over me, and your great VARsenal finally did you proud, even if there were a few contentious decisions along the way. Luckily, you’ll continue to get six points off the Geordies going forward!

Sleep tight, mate. Take that carefree, infectious spirit with you and keep shining a light into other people’s worlds, wherever you may be.

    Rest in peace, mate. ❤️

  • Mike Wenden says:

Julian you owe me that steak dinner when I beat you in fantasy football so will call in your debt when I join you in the next life.
You may have worked for me but we became friends and I’ll always appreciate your drive and determination to do the best you could for yourself and your family.
Great that your beloved VARsenal won the Premiership despite the grief we gave you for them doing so.
Wish you and your family all the very best and see you again in the future.
    RIP take care mate

  • Asif says:

Met Jules through work when he visited Crawley in the UK to train the global teams. We clicked immediately. Julian was open from the beginning, which was a very refreshing experience for me. Always enjoyed spending time with him and conversing over a beer when he was over, with the subject quickly moving beyond work to our family lives, future plans, and historic scrapes. Julian always had a smile on his face, was quick to bring a smile to others faces, and generally drifting into slumber early on an evening out! Every one a great and happy memory. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Peace, and keep smiling Jules.

  • Chrissy McClanahan says:

Oh Jules, you were truly one of a kind; always smiling, giving the best hugs, and one of the most patient people to work with. You had a carefree spirit and never seemed to have a worry in the world. You loved your family and friends with your whole heart.
I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to be your coworker and friend. Sending all my love, thoughts, and prayers to your sweet family during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Jules. You will be deeply missed.
    Chrissy

  • Ashwin says:

Julian was more than just a mentor for us. He had a rare gift of helping people around him with his genuine kind hearted spirit. My brother and me will always remember Julian for his gentle heart, ever smiling face and the way he made us feel confident when we really needed it. He will always be remembered and we will truly miss him.

    Ashwin & Ashish

  • Vincent John says:

Julian was a truly a beautiful soul, we feel incredibly blessed to have known him. He came into our lives as a young man in his twenties and left a lasting impact on our family, as a great mentor who shaped our kids future. Over the years it was joy to watch him grow into a loving husband and a devoted father.

We were also fortunate to know his wonderful mum Carmel, whose warmth, kindness and selfless nature were evident in the values Julian carried throughout his life.
Julian will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered always.

    Vincent & Shobha

  • Marc says:

Jules, I may have only known you for a short time, but as your family and friends have so beautifully shared, you had a way about you, a warmth, a genuine kindness, and a smile that could light up any room.

You had an incredible ability to connect with people and remember everyone’s names making them feel welcomed.

I always enjoyed our chats at school drop-offs and pick-ups, and those moments will be fondly remembered. You will be truly missed by so many.

Rest in peace, mate. I have no doubt you’re up there smiling down on all of us, just as you always did.

To your family and loved ones, please accept our heartfelt condolences. While words can never ease the pain of such a loss, know that Jules touched the lives of many and will be remembered with great affection. He was truly someone special.

    With love,
Marc, Inga, Marlo & Cruz ❤️

  • Gerry says:

I first met Jules, in Canada, when he was two. I was intrigued by his grasp of counting, interest in number patterns and his general ability to engage. He continued to flourish in Australia and whilst his Maths and Science abilities can be linked to his mum, Carmel, his music/artistic /sporting traits can most definitely be attributed to his dad, Jim. Jules was a high achiever but he always knew that there was so much more to life and, to learn, especially about how to live an interesting life. He had a huge circle of friends and this is testament to the genuine joy he found in people of all ages and walks of life. I will miss his beautiful smile and ‘Hi Gezzzz’ as he gave me a big hug. Jules was an incredibly important person in our family and will always be remembered and loved.

  • Billy Efremov says:

Jules. My deepest sympathy to family and friends. I had the pleasure of playing some golf with our dear Friday boys brother on many occasions. We will miss you. But never forget you. 🍻🍻RIP Jules. 💔

  • Francine says:

One of my very first memories of Julian was about 11 years ago. He found me at one of my saddest moments, just as I was about to take my dog to the vet to be put to sleep. Although I did not know him very well at the time, I was really touched at how kind and caring he was toward me in that moment. When I got home later that day he had left flowers and a very sweet card for me. I’ve never forgotten it.
It was such a pleasure being your neighbour and Shinano’s too. Such a friendly guy always up for a chat. Bumping into you in the driveway was a treat, your positivity was contagious. It warmed my heart seeing you with your boys and how proud you were of them.
The world lost one special man yesterday.
Lots of love to Shinano, Jin, Rei, Carmel, Alex, Long and Emiko x

  • Satoko Muslu Omine says:

    Dear Julian,
Whenever you saw me working at school as an Education Support staff member, you would always wave from a distance and greet me with a warm smile and a cheerful “Thank you.” We often shared small conversations, and every time I walked away feeling uplifted.
Your kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others taught us so many important lessons. You made a positive difference in the lives of those around you, and your presence will be deeply missed.
Thank you for everything. May you rest peacefully.
To Julian’s family, I extend my deepest condolences. Please know that you are surrounded by a caring school community, and we will continue to support one another as we honour Julian’s memory.

  • Sam gabriele says:

Jules saddned to hear, my condolences to all the family.
It’s been a pleasure to have known you over the years via Northern Golf Club.
You fought a brave fight, always smiling and time to have a chat with everyone.
You will not be forgotten, a great example of how to deal with life’s adversity.
Keep smiling as you always did.

  • Chris Howitt says:

“Rest in peace, Jules. Saturday mornings at golf won’t be the same without your smile.”

  • Pina Pitisano says:

I met Jules last year when he was a parent helper in Jin’s class. He definitely stood out as such a lovely, helpful, kind and warm man. It is truly a very sad loss. My sincerest condolences to all the family.

  • Craig Berry says:

It is not often you meet a person who is instantly likeable, always happy to chat and with a smile that lit up the club. A great golfing mate but an even better person. Thinking of his family and friends at this desperately sad time.

  • John Bradley says:

Julian was a former student of mine at Marcellin College and when we caught up again at Northern, we became friends sharing an interest in whisky and golf. The last time I saw him was in the clubhouse just before I was about to tee off and he took the trouble to send me a text saying I hit a nice shot down the first and apologising for not yelling out as he was talking to his mum. That’s the sort of person he was. Jules, you will be sorely missed.

  • Ed M says:

My condolences to The Family of A Great Sincere Smiley Julian . I Had The Pleasure to Work with him .

  • Justine, Daniel, Freddie and Theo says:

To dear Julian, what a joy it was to know you. What your family have written about you is so true; you were always so warm and kind and wonderful to be around. I feel so lucky that I got to call you a friend, those times we spent chatting about everything under the sun while Jin and Freddie tore around playgrounds were special to me. Rest easy my friend, we love you.

  • Matt says:

From Day 1 at our son’s Japanese school when you came over and said gday I knew immediately that we had made a friend for life. I looked forward to catching up every Sunday and planning our ultimate Golf trip in Japan. Rest in peace Julian, you will be missed.

  • Benny Murray says:

The pleasure was all mine, Jules. Rest in peace brother.

  • Benn says:

I first met Julian through work, but I was proud to call him a friend.
When you start a job with the last name “Mantle,” the bar is set very high. But of course – he was brilliant.
Professionally, Julian was enthusiastic, dependable, and always willing to get involved in something new. He was endlessly curious, serious when he needed to be, but just as quick to put everyone at ease with his huge smile. He earned the respect and admiration of everyone around him.
Personally, we would often talk about skiing in Canada and Japan. But nothing lit him up more than talking about his family. He would absolutely beam with pride whenever he spoke about them, especially his children.
I am genuinely fortunate to have called Julian a friend. He leaves behind countless memories and an example of how to live with kindness, enthusiasm, and integrity.

My thoughts and best wishes are with Carmel and the entire family during this difficult time.
    Rest well, mate.
    Benn.

  • Leigh Wilson says:

While I only knew Jules for a relatively short period of time, the way he treated me made it feel like we were friends for decades. I will always remember him as someone who brought a light to any conversation and would go out of his way (from the other side of the practice green or driving range) to say hello, have a quick chat and make your day better.
    One of the good guys.

  • Joe Italia (JP) says:

Jules I call you a dear friend even though we only played together for a short time , your were always a gentleman in everything you did. You know that you were loved by everyone you can into contact with. I was very saddened when I was first told of your condition and even more saddened by your passing. I consider it an honour to have known you and to have played with you, although I don’t think I ever took money off you for a token. Wishing your lovely family and friends my deepest condolences. 🥀🥀🥀Vale
    Give them hell in heaven

  • Phil Clements says:

Julian was the type of guy who would go out of his way to simply say hello and have a conversation. Didn’t matter what age or generation you were from. There was no ego, just a fun loving friendly guy. You were incredibly courageous and you will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Julian.

  • Paul Volpe says:

It only feels like yesterday that you walked through my door and went straight to the fridge and pantry and helped yourself, eating us out of house and home. You were always so comfortable and yourself in any situation, which is why it was so easy for you to make friends. So many great memories over the past 27 years. From sneaking into city bars, while underage with your cousin’s drivers licence (sorry Carmel), drinking west coast coolers in Byron at the Zen Palace, midnight pancakes at Stroker’s in Ivanhoe in the front of the fire to all nighters playing four player Golden Eye on the 64. So many memories we shared together and I have no idea how you made so many more of these memories with so many people, where did you ever find the time? But you always had time for everyone, you were a true friend in ever sense. You changed my life in so many ways and I know you know how much I valued your friendship. Always up for a lunch or a chat, with every catch up picking straight up from the last, as time never pasted us by. I keep asking myself who will I fight for the last fired white bait now at yum cha? Or convince me to order the mango pudding (even though I’m full)? Who will always beat in any video game even if they had never played it before? Who will I talk anime too? Who will go grab a chicken wrap from Nando’s with? So many questions you have left us all with. “You had a pretty pretty pretty good” life Jules. Thanks for letting me part of the ride. You better be waiting with a Chambord and lemonade or a Brandy dry next time I meet you. To then I’ll be driving my car with passenger set fully back and heater and fan max for you.

    Love you mate
    Volpes

  • Jose says:

Even though we only worked for a brief period together, you made a pretty big impact just by being your true and authentic self. You were responsible for making an otherwise lackluster staff party into a memorable one by being game and going with me shot-for-shot at about +10 bars across the CBD. It was great to see you in March, with high spirits and with your cheeky sense of humour!

    Much love,
    Jose

  • Greavesy Sun says:

As it has been said over and over again Jules was truly one of the nicest people you would ever meet, he loved his family and his friends and he loved his golf.Jules and I joined the club roughly the same time and we quickly became friends, I will miss you dearly Mantle Sun.

  • Ben L says:

Gone too soon. Wont forget primary school days of school yard ruckus and basketball with the lads. Rest in peace and you’ll be sorely missed mate. Ben L

  • Victor says:

Julz, thank you for the memories and friendship you shared with me growing up. I’ll cherish those good times we shared in Melbourne and New York for the rest of my life.
Rest in peace, buddy. You’ll be missed.

  • Duffy says:

I joined Northern Golf Club around 9 years ago and soon after met Julesy. We formed a Saturday morning playing group and played every weekend we could from then until just a few weeks ago, when he couldn’t anymore. Such a great bloke. I was amazed at his ability to befriend pretty much everyone he met! Over the years he went from a golf mate to a best mate. Cheated out of all the golf, beers and banter we’d have in the years ahead. Thinking of his family at this sad time. 😢

  • Andy Neville says:

Jules you were & will always be a wonderful man & much loved by everyone that knew you. You were an absolute pleasure to be around & always engaging. Whilst we played many times together over the years, I feel so fortunate to have played with you several times this year. Thank you for allowing me to be your friend, “Nevs”.

  • Liam R says:

I still remember Jules as a fellow student at Marcellin College – such a nice, friendly and caring person with such a positive attitude and so much positive energy. Rest in peace Jules and my deepest condolences to your family.

  • Luke and Wolfie says:

From the first time we met back when our kids were in childcare, I could tell you had great energy and we’re just a good hearted guy. You always said hello with such enthusiasm like we’d known each other forever. I instantly felt like you could be one of those parents that I befriend and annoy to hang out with me because I moved interstate away from everyone that I know. And I did just that! You made me feel like my new home was a little more familiar as I’d walk around and see you going to the park running behind Jin trying to keep up shouting out to me across the street “Lukey!”

I’m very happy that I got to see you one last time this week.

Your family will be looked after by everyone, including myself and Wolfie.

Take care, mate, and I’ll see you up there one day for a drink and a yarn.

    Rest well x

    Luke and Wolfie

  • Albert says:

Jules, thank you so much for being a wonderful friend. I still remember those Tuesdays when we played golf at different public golf courses. I enjoyed every moment, even though we played in the rain and sometimes in temperatures close to 35 degrees. You always have the gift to connect with people and often become friends with random golfers. Thank you for being such a great mate and for these wonderful memories that we shared. Rest in heaven, brother.

  • Rhys Gutterson says:

To one of the best blokes I have ever known. Jules, I am absolutely devastated for you, your family, beautiful wife and two boys. You were a friend to so many and loved by all that meet you no matter how long you had known them for.
I have some of my best memories shared with you my friend. From catching the bus together to school, pastoral and the classroom to weekends at each other’s house. 6 years of quite literally being in each other’s pocket. I always looked up to you my friend in admiration for how smart, dedicated, determined you were, even your stubbornness was admirable. You were always a gentleman and genuine friend to me and even though our paths after school went different ways every time we ran into each other it was like no time had passed at all. You will be sorely missed by so many my friend. I will always remember you and cherish the fact that I was able to call you a best friend. Although we didn’t get to speak yesterday mate it was an honour to be by your side in your home where it all started. You’ll be happy to know your beautiful mum was asking if we wanted anything to drink or a biscuit while Rooz, Crimmo and I where by your side. You always wanted to make sure everyone was looked after while you were in their company.
No doubt you’ll be giving your dad a massive hug mate as you’re reunited, as much as he would hate seeing you this early in your life. Rest in peace my friend. Love you mate. Your mate Gutto (Gut the nut)

  • Nicole Tsiripillis says:

Julian, although we only knew you a few years, we are truely blessed to have known you and your wonderful energy and joy for life! Rest in Peace x Nicole, Michael and family

  • Tamaki says:

    Jules,
Even though we met not a long ago when you used to drop Jin off at Japanese daycare.
Then we started to talk more at Japanese school. Your kind and friendly personality made my day Everytime I saw you. We really wish we could hang out more.. you are gone too soon and we miss you heaps. Rest in heaven

  • Mike Presland says:

There aren’t many people that truly deserve the description as one of life’s nicest people. Jules did. Since the day i first met him buying a round for Sam, Chris and James on a freezing Saturday morning, I’ve always considered him a great friend. He was always there with a kind and happy word when I wasn’t feeling great, and was quick with commiserations when I hit a terrible shot. We played and chatted together frequently with the Friday boys, who will miss him greatly, as we all will at the club. Today was a very sad day. He’s gone so damned early. My heart goes out to his beautiful family and all of his friends.

  • Ben mcfadyen says:

Brother. I remember going camping together back when we were young and you coming along with me to motorbike functions and supporting alongside me, I have some amazing photos of those times – laughing and carrying on together. You were and always will be one of the beautiful down to earth and good people in this world. Miss and love you mate and sending you all the love

  • Joe McGrath says:

“You big beautiful man”. The catch cry whenever Julez would walk in to a room of his friends. Never to busy to be there for you and one of the biggest hearts going around. Thank you for everything mate. You will be so sorely missed. I hope you now get to rest peacefully. “To live in the hearts of the ones we leave behind is to never die”

  • Andy says:

You were one of the first people I met as a new member at Northern, introduced me to others, included me and made me feel welcome. Always made time for a chat on the course or at the range. Thank you for making things brighter, funnier and happier.

  • Dave R says:

The world has lost one of the nicest, genuinely “loved by everyone” blokes.

The best memories of friendship and golf involve some of the Irish’s at Northern with Julesy. Always the optimist, never uttered a bad word, knew everyone’s name and loved life.

    RIP Julesy

  • Bryan says:

    Hi Julian
It was always a pleasure to play or practice alongside you. You had a wonderful way of brightening the darkest day with your positive outlook on life. Rest in peace.
    Cheers Bryan

  • Matt says:

Like many of us, I saw Jules as one of my closest mates. There are hundreds of people like me because Jules naturally formed close friendships with everyone he met.

Many of us have long lists of great times with Jules on the golf course, but for a while Jules somehow managed to drive to work down my street every morning just as I was pulling out of the driveway. I enjoyed many a phone call from him while he was right behind my car.

    He was far too young.

  • Vince Capeci says:

Jules I only ever played 1 round of golf with you but we were always on the range together looking for greatness (as you put it haha). You really came across as a true gentleman. May you rest in peace ❤️

  • Chia says:

Julesy since Year 7 you’ve been like a brother to me – from playing video games, table tennis and watching AND1 at my house, to virtual tennis at Timeout, studying for our VCE exams and playing Winning 11 at your place, pool at Breakers, poker sessions with the boys and more recently golf and taking our kids to the park. Memories and a friendship I will cherish forever.

Even in the later years whenever we got the chance to catch up – a raise of the glass and a smile, and it felt like we didn’t miss a beat.

Your positive energy and nature was loved by all – my parents, siblings, wife and kids all adored you.

Cue our handshake, which you loved as the best handshake – I will miss you my brother RIP.

  • Craig Parker says:

    Jules,
It was a pleasure to call you a friend & golfing buddy.
You will be sadly missed but no forgotten.RIP
    Cheers Craig

  • Gerard Guinan says:

Rest easy my friend I was lucky enough to know Jules well, we played some great golf competitions together rain hail or shine we won the Friday boys fourball against Friday morning gentleman together with a +11 score. Another time we played to qualify for the club matchplay championships in a monsoon of rain he decided it was so wet he played with no shirt on. An absolute gentleman a great friend a wonderful person I will miss you my friend. Hope you have the best golf courses to play in heaven.

  • Andrew Storto says:

Julzy, you are missed so deeply already, but you will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who had the privilege of knowing you, and that list is long and lasting. I will never forget your jovial nature; you truly lit up everyone’s life, including your own. I will always remember meeting you on your first day at St Martin’s Primary School and the connection we made through basketball with the boys, even into high school. I remember shooting hoops with you after school from time to time, and probably much more than that, because so many life lessons came from your patience and determination. It was a pleasure knowing you and seeing the amazing family and life you built with Shinano and your beautiful kids.

  • Brian says:

No words can describe what you truly meant to everyone that knows you. You were a true friend; always there in the highs and the lows. Will miss our poker sessions, dinner out at your favourite Korean BBQ, and just hanging out, eating, playing games or doing nothing. Thank you for all the memories, our high school years, travels, uni days and beyond. It was an honour to have known you, Will definitely miss you brother, Rest in peace Julzy. Prayers for you & for strength and peace to all those left behind 🙏

  • Aleks B says:

Jules, I cannot put into words how much of a privilege it was to become one of your regular golf (and pint) buddies over the last few years. You were an amazing human and someone who would always go out of their way to help. And despite never admitting to it, I am stoked that your beloved Arsenal were able to break their Premier League drought a few weeks back and that you could witness it. Love you mate and I will miss you. Sending my condolences to the whole family. RIP.

  • Hannah Streete says:

Jules, you had an energy and kindness I’ll never forget. I feel fortunate that our paths crossed through the PVPS community and I very much enjoyed our morning chats during the first years of school. Your sense of humour and positivity during such an immensely difficult time has shown what an honourable and strong person you are. Something I won’t forget.
To Shinano, Jin & Rei our thoughts are with you and we send you all our love during this time and always.

Hannah, Dean, Rosie and Lola Streete.

  • Con Fitos says:

You were one of the good guys Jules.
Lots of rounds at mid-week at Northern trying to better each others game followed by beers, endless Seinfeld reference’s and multiple packets of chips on the deck at Northern GC.

    Gonna miss you brother….RIP

You’ve always been a true friend to me, like a brother since high school. We grew up together and shared so many good times.
You were kind, big-hearted, and always making everyone around you feel comfortable. You were carefree, easy-going, and such a fun person to hang around with. I really enjoyed all our travels, stories, and moments together.
You will always have a special place in my heart. I’m very grateful we had each other in our lives. I love you brother.

Nicest man I have ever met. Will miss our routine saturday mornings on the course. How good is winning an irish on a saturday morning? Miss you Julesy. Rest in peace.

  • Tony Harika says:

Jules was truly one of a kind and like others who have commented can vouch that there are no truer words than those written above. Its been a long while since high school at Marcellin but he was the kind of guy who got along with absolutely everyone. He was incredibly smart, remarkably kind, and nobody could ever say a bad word about him. While we hadn’t seen each other in recent years, I always loved hearing updates about him through the Marcellin community and my cousins whose house was next door to his childhood home that he would visit his mum every now and then. Sending my deepest condolences to his family. Rest in peace Julz.

I met Julesy around 9 years ago through golf. We quickly became great mates and I loved my Saturday mornings playing golf with him. But he wasn’t only a ‘golf buddy’, he was one of the best mates I’ve ever had. He was warm, kind, funny, supportive and would go out of his way to do anything for you.
I’ll miss the banter, the beers with you, beating you in an Irish, spending time with you, the laughter and of course the legendary club throws!
Saturday morning golf won’t be the same any more.
    Love ya Brother.
    Jimmy

Oh my “king of the dads”
The coolest of guys. I’ll miss the big hugs and laughs and silly hand shake.

School won’t be the same without you, let alone the world around you.

What a guy huh? Biggest hugs big man xxoo

Jules, everything described in the words above are 100% accurate. You were the first to introduce yourself and welcomed me into the Northern golfing community. Your warmth and your ability to make people feel welcome was an incredible trait of yours. Always one to make you laugh even without realising it. Truly one of a kind and will be forever missed. Rest in peace bud ⛳️

  • Jay T says:

Jules had an incredible gift of being positive in any situation, a quality that was truely infectious.

One of my favourite memories with Jules was playing golf in what could be described as a cyclone – sheltered under a tree getting pelted from every direction he shouted ‘we love this fellas, this is what we live for!’ .. we all laughed as the severe weather horn sounded only a few minutes later and our round was finished early.

Rest in peace great man, you will be missed by many.

    My dear friend Julian,
It was an honour and a privilege to have known you. You were more than just a friend to me—you were like a brother and part of my family.
Losing you feels like losing a piece of my family, and my heart is broken. Thank you for all the memories, the laughs, and the friendship we shared over the years.
Goodbye, my friend. Rest in peace. One day we will meet again, and I know you’ll be reunited with AG in heaven.
Until then, bye brother. You will always be remembered and never forgotten. I love you brother
