A memorial in Sydney should feel like it was made for the person you’re honouring. At Tomorrow Funerals, we plan celebrant-led services shaped around your loved one’s life, held wherever holds meaning for your family, all wrapped into a single flat fee with no hidden extras.
We’re here whenever you’re ready
A memorial service is a gathering held in someone’s honour after the cremation has taken place. Unlike a traditional funeral, the cremation isn’t part of the ceremony itself – which means no coffin in the room and no timeline pressure to organise everything in a matter of days.
For Sydney families, that change in timing opens up a wholly different kind of farewell. With Tomorrow, the memorial is celebrant-led and built from the ground up around your person. There’s no template to follow and no expectation of what it should look like.
Sydney’s funeral industry is dominated by a handful of large operators, and pricing across the sector tends to be opaque. The average Sydney funeral costs around $11,300. But plenty of families end up well above that once coffin upgrades, premium chapel hire and add-on extras get tacked onto the bill.
Tomorrow takes the opposite approach. Our complete package is $7,200 and covers everything you need: the direct cremation, all the paperwork, a tribute video, a personal memorial website and your dedicated celebrant.
Want to bring catering, florals or live music into the day? Easy. We’ll help you organise it, and we don’t take commissions from third-party suppliers.

A Tomorrow memorial is built around three pieces of freedom: where you hold it, when you hold it, and who leads it.
Sydney has no shortage of places that mean something. A morning service at Bronte Beach. A long lunch in Surry Hills. An afternoon gathering at Centennial Park. A celebration at home in Mosman. Wherever fits the story you want to tell, that’s where the memorial belongs.
The timing is yours too. With the cremation taken care of, there’s no urgency to gather everyone straight away. Plan the memorial for a fortnight later, a month later, or a date that holds meaning for your family.
Your celebrant ties it all together. We match each family with an experienced Sydney-based celebrant who listens closely to your stories, helps shape the day, and runs the service itself. They’re your main point of contact from start to finish.
The memorial is one piece of the larger picture. If you’d prefer a single team handling everything from cremation and transfers through to the day itself, our Full Service brings the lot together under one roof at a single transparent fee of $7,200.
We believe a really personal farewell can play a vital role in the healing process.
Yep, this is the whole kit and kaboodle!

Everything you need to know
Anywhere across Sydney that feels right. Tomorrow has a number of partner venues in and around the city — restaurants and function spaces that host events at no hire charge — but families are equally welcome to choose their own venue, hold the service at home, or gather somewhere in Sydney that meant something to their person.
Your dedicated celebrant. They’ll get to know you and your person before helping you shape the service — the tone, the stories, the flow of the day. They write it with you, and they lead it on the day.
Completely. There’s no template to follow. Families have held memorials at their person’s favourite restaurant, in parks, on beaches, and at home. The format, tone and feel are entirely yours — our celebrant’s job is to help bring what you have in mind to life.
A traditional funeral typically centres around the coffin and follows a set format — often in a chapel, often within a tight timeframe. A memorial with Tomorrow happens after the cremation, which means no time pressure, no coffin present, and no limitations on where or how you gather. It can be as intimate or as large as you like.
It’s a private, personalised website created for your person — a place to share the memorial details, post photos and stories, and keep a lasting tribute online. It includes a guestbook so family and friends anywhere in the world can leave messages. You can see an example at tomorrowfunerals.com.au/david-bowie.
There’s no rush — that’s one of the real advantages of direct cremation. Some Sydney families move quickly and hold the memorial within a few weeks. Others take a little longer. Your celebrant works to your timeline, not the other way around.

Not sure which option is right for you? We’re here to help you figure it out — no pressure, no rush, just care.
