Sheila was the kindest, sweetest soul, deeply loved by her family and cherished by all who cared for her.
She considered her daughter Elizabeth her greatest achievement, and was adored by her sister Sally and the rest of the family.
Sheila had a great love of music, Christmas, and singing, especially with her church choir. And if you ever tried to take a Christmas present away from her, you’d quickly discover there was a wonderful feistiness beneath that gentle exterior!

It was a pleasure and privilege to care for Sheila during her stay at Mercy Place Dandenong. Sheila was a delightful person. Her awareness and effort to respond in an interaction, was quite astounding and heart-warming. Sheila’s courage was also evident and her enjoyment of music. May peace and everlasting joy be hers in the heavenly realm.

We are thinking of you all at this very sad time. I remember meeting Sheila at a couple of family events, and the love and affection with which you always spoke about your sister.

Dearest Sal,
Your love and care for Sheila have been so strong – a cornerstone in your life for as long as I have known you. Sheila’s love for you was clear and strong, though perhaps slightly hidden if you moved a Christmas present. I am very sorry that I cannot be present today – I am sending virtual hugs for you and the family, even though they are just are not the same.
I have many fond memories of Sheila, back in her late 50’s, early 60’s, where we spent every Monday doing fun outings together.
Sheils loved her music and especially singing, which she was very good at and a great entertainer! Lol.
Still makes me smile, thinking back to those happy days!
Sheila also loved being a member of the St. Paul’s Anglican church chior, where everyone accepted her and included her. Same said at our weekly bingo events at Frankston RSL which she also loved to do and Sheils also enjoyed going to the hairdresser regularly and shopping for clothes and sweets (Lots of them.) 😀
Sheila also enjoyed a tipple or two or three on her birthday celebrations too. Lol.
Sheila was a lovely soul and she tried very hard to make the most of her life, with the help and support of her beloved sister, Sally who stuck by her though everything, when others gave up!

Sorry to say I am unable to attend, due to commitments in Adelaide on the 9th. I have said my goodbyes at the beach with your dear sister.
