Sue Allen was a magnificent human.. playful, mischievous, fiercely wilful, and endlessly generous of spirit. She had a rare gift for making people feel safe and supported in this world, and she used that gift with everyone lucky enough to cross her path.
Susie lived life fully, on her own terms. She was adventurous and joyful, finding beauty everywhere she looked. She was just as at home in quiet, loving moments as she was embracing the chaos of a good night out. Sue was private and careful about who she let in, but once you were in, you were in for life for good, and so many of us, at different stages of our lives, were fortunate enough to become her chosen family and friends.
With a generosity of spirit and wisdom that shaped her remarkable career, Susie was devoted to helping others, particularly women and young people in crisis, spanning child protection, sexual assault and domestic violence services, and the AIDS Council during the height of the pandemic. She was awarded the Centenary Medal for her work in the psychological field of sexual abuse, and her impact continues today.
Susie loved animals, loved adventure, and in her later years found particular joy travelling the country in the motor home, striking up conversations and making friends wherever she stopped. She will be forever missed, and forever loved.
A private cremation is being arranged and a celebration of Sue’s life is being planned with details to come below, in due course.

It is very sad that you left us Sue. You were always full of life and were fun to be around. You were a wonderful support to my children growing up and anyone could call on you for help if they needed it. We will not forget you 💐🌷❤️. Rest peacefully.
So saddened to hear of Sue’s passing. She was one of a kind – kind, smart, funny and possessing an indomitable spirit. So many fond memories of the times and adventures we had. Sadly missed. My thoughts and condolences to family and friends.
