01.07.1999 – 17.08.2026
Taz will never be forgotten by those who love him. He was kind, funny and loved a boogie. He loved the Saints, psytrance music, festivals and Rammstein. He recently graduated from his Bachelor of Social Work, and he would have been so incredible in his field. He laughed the hardest at his jokes most of the time and lit up every room he entered.
He never stopped learning and could tell you details about almost any historical event. He was a wonderful communicator and had the deepest friendships and relationships. I don’t think any of us know how to go on without him, but we will remember him forever and do everything with love for him. We love you Taz Man, may you rest in eternal peace.
A private cremation is being arranged and all the details of Taz’s celebration of life are below.

Date:
A beautiful memorial was held on Monday 31st August 2026

Annie and Paul,
Taz was a bright spark that I had the pleasure to know for such a long time from getting into mischief in primary school to coming over to play Xbox and have dinner at your place. One of Taz’s favourite childhood games was the Simpsons Hit and Run and he’d be happy to know they might be doing a new one soon. Even though we went to different high schools, whenever he saw me at Balaclava station, I’d hear my name screamed out with everyone looking over which was just like him. I’ll miss him very much and I have you both in my thoughts x
Annie and Paul and family –
We were so very sad to hear of Taz’s passing. We remember him fondly from the time we all spent together in Bridport Tasmania as kids – with Nan, of course! – and all the positive energy he would bring whenever we would meet again at family events. A good cousin who has left us far too soon. We send our deepest condolences and love to you all.

Paul and Annie, it was so very special to hear from Taz’s friend Tom, and girlfriend Jorja today. They gave a picture of how much Taz was loved for his fun and mischief as their special friend. They showed that the happy little boy grew into a caring, giving and valued adult. Remember now to take care of yourselves. Know it’s ok to have some sad days in between the days of many happy memories. Much love.
Dear Annie, Paul, Jorja, family & friends, my thoughts are with you.
I have such strong memories of Tas doing a placement of 5 weeks or so in my classroom 7 or 8 years ago. Tas was so kind, quirky and honest with the students. He had a depth and a real connection with children with multiple disabilities.
Tas had a great personality; a lot of irony and humour!

Taz’s 4th year onsite placement supervisor and team at CoHealth noted his caring and compassionate approach with whomever walked through their doors. He certainly made a great impression there and they felt he would make a great social worker. Always a listening ear, relaxed, non judgemental, and willing to help where he could. Conscious and respectful of others – he could relate and engage in those 1:1 moments whether onsite or during the footy and other community outreach programs. Perhaps footy team rivalries may have created some strong discussions! I enjoyed meeting Taz weekly as his VU supervisor and knew how much he enjoyed being part of the team, brought his enthusiasm for doing the ‘work’, even if it felt uncertain or nerve racking at times. He brought sensitivity and care, even thinking about where the tissues were when sitting and holding space with the emotion and distress of others. I often had to write and fill in the gaps to articulate all that he was doing, thinking and reflecting about, when he was too modest to. He made an impact on his colleagues there and clients. He navigated the ups and downs of placement with positivity, great self awareness and commitment. I know how proud he, the team and us at VU were at all that he had learnt and had grown professionally and personally over that time. So much to be proud of. He had definitely found his ‘place’. He even organized a proper thank you and farewell with the team to celebrate in style and with gusto. There was no slinking off placement!
I am so very sad to hear of this heartbreaking news. Shared also by the team at Co-health who were very saddened to hear about Taz’s death. I’m sure he will continue to shine brightly, have an open welcoming door to anyone who needs it, no matter where he is. My deepest condolences and thoughts with his family. The sun is shining brightly for him today in his beloved part of Melbourne.
Sending my love to Annie, Paul and jorja.
Never have I ever had a bad time with you Taz, always bringing such a positive and happy vibe wherever you were. Making people laugh and always such a polite man.
I love you so much dude, you will never be forgotten. 💜💜💜

Sending all of my love to Annie, Paul and Jorja. I was lucky enough to call Taz a friend for nearly 10 years. I will remember Taz for his kindness and deep care and appreciation for those around him, his authenticity, honesty and how true he was to himself. One of my favourite things about Taz was that he was such a great listener, no one cared more about what you had to say than Taz. These feelings and memories I will cherish forever. Rest in paradise Tazzy I love you mate 🧡🧡🧡
I am lucky to have known Taz since primary school. Always so funny and goofy, making me and our classmates laugh every single day. I have missed him so much the past few years as life made us all busier. Sadly, I will have to miss him forever. There are no words for the loss here. I wish you all the best.

Taz made a great impression on everyone here at Central City…he was kind, energetic and full of wonderful conversation.
He quickly become a great social worker who wanted to make a real difference but taken too early to see his full potential.
Rest in peace my man, Go Saints.

Dear Annie and Paul my heart is breaking for you at the passing of your beautiful boy Taz. It was a privilege to met him at St Paul’sCollege and amazed how much warmth he exuded. My thoughts are with you both at this very sad time.❤️❤️
Dear Annie, Paul, Jorja, Tom, and family. Taz had a natural warmth and way with young people, evident even as a high school student on work experience at St. Paul’s College. A few years later, Taz supported Tris outside of Glenallen School. Tris had his own wonderful way of showing just how much he enjoyed Taz’s company – strumming an imaginary guitar and cupping his hands and making his distinctive “tuf-tuf” sounds. It was a beautiful reflection of the connection Taz made with others.
Dearest Annie and Paul – I am still in such shock about Tassie’s passing. I just can’t imagine your and Paul’s grief and pain. I am so sorry. Tas and Ci were such a funny pigeon pair together when they were little tackers, and Tassie’s quirky questions and curiosity about everything, and his infectious laughter and acceptance of everyone around him were both so unwisely him but also such a wonderful reflection of you both and your wise and gentle parenting. I am so sorry the kids and I are not here to attend on Monday to support you both, but I hope it will give you solace to remember your beautiful boy surrounded by those who loved him and love you. Xxx
Paul, Anne and Jorja and Taz’s Family and Friends sending our condolences to you all. I have many great memories from growing up with Taz at family functions and the occasional Easter camp, there was never a dull moment with him never failing to make us laugh with his quirky sense of humour and the bright light he brought to everything he did ❤️
Paul and Annie, received this and the first news regarding Taz from our wonderful mutual friend Lucy. Rocked my world then, does again now. Can’t add any words to the glowing ones from others before me here. I feel the pain of a parent and one that never, under any circumstances, wants to outlive their child. So, so sorry for your loss of the wonderful son you created. Hope you can find solace, somehow, soon. Love to you both, jeff
Annie, I still picture you at St P’s regaling us with stories of Tas as he made his way into the world. He made you laugh and you made us laugh in return – it was a gift.
I hope that all these shared memories of your beautiful boy will help to sustain you in this terribly difficult time. With much love and deepest sympathy
Dearest Annie

Uncle Slap and Aunty Annie there is no amount of words to describe how deeply sad Jamie and I are at the passing of little Cousin Taz. I still remember when he was just learning to count and how proud of himself he was when he got to 10. He was such a happy go lucky young man and will be sorely missed. Jorja I may have not had the chance to meet you in person but everything I have heard about you from my parents (Uncle Paul’s older brother and wife) makes me want to say thank you for bringing even more light to Taz. He will be forever in my heart as that little boy learning to count.
Love and hugs to you all.
Sharayah and Jamie
Dear Annie and family

It was such a shock to hear of Taz’s passing. Deepest sympathies to you all.
Deepest condolences to Taz’s parents, partner, family and friends. We really appreciate the time Taz spent with Tristan. His kind, patient, respectful, self deprecating approach, mixed with humor; a magical blend in building a relationship with Tristan. This would have worked so well in Social Work. It was a pleasure to have such a thoughtful, easy going, deep thinking, humorous man in our home for many years. We miss Taz very much and will remember him fondly.
Taz was such a shining light, always thinking deeply about the world, curious about everything he did. We will miss you Taz Man, and you will remain in our hearts forever.

Dear Anne and Paul. There are no words that I could say to express how my heart breaks for you all. What a gorgeous person Taz was. I was lucky enough to have a long chat to him at Uncle Dans birthday Party. We laughed so much about Jemma looking after those Guinea Pigs in that terrible heat. He will be sadly missed by his loving family . Sending our love to you all.
Jim, Toni,Jemma and Tessa.
Jorja, Annie, Paul and the whole family, sending our deepest condolences at this very sad time. We hope to be able to help you celebrate Taz’s life in a really personal way. Kate Morgan & the team at Tomorrow Funerals
Taz is and will be greatly missed. He worked in my home for a few years providing support for my son. We observed first hand what a special human Taz was in building a great rapport with Tristan. Social work was clearly a great choice which aligned with Taz’s disarming nature. Many people across “Hearth” were incredibly sad to learn of his passing as he was deeply respected by the team. He endeared himself to everyone. Always in our thoughts…
